Safety & Privacy

How Zeluu keeps your child safe — and keeps you in the loop.

What we watch for

A safety engine works quietly in the background of every chat — guiding, not just answering — so you're never out of the loop.

Distress detection

If a child seems upset, bullied, or unsafe, Zeluu responds gently, points them to a trusted grown-up, and flags it for you.

Personal-info protection

Zeluu never asks for personal details — and if a child shares them, it redirects and flags the moment for you.

Stuck-loop detection

When a child is stuck on the same idea for too long, Zeluu changes tack and lets you know they may need a hand.

Prompt-safety filtering

Attempts to misuse the tutor or pull it off-topic are blocked, and every reply is shown as plain, escaped text.

Zeluu is a learning companion for children, covering Math, Science & English. Below is a plain-language summary of how we keep children safe and protect their privacy. Items marked Available now are live in the product today; items marked Coming soon are planned and in progress.

1. We teach — we don't do the homework

Zeluu is built to guide children to the answer, not hand it over. The tutor works through hints and step-by-step questions, and only reveals more when a child has genuinely tried — so children build understanding instead of copying a solution. Available now

2. Every conversation is safety-checked

Zeluu layers several protections around each chat: Available now

3. You're always in the loop

4. Your child's data is isolated

Each child's information is separated at the database level, so one family's data is never visible to another. Sessions belong to the parent account, and the child app cannot access billing or other families' data. Available now

5. Privacy by design

See our full Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and why. Available now

6. Built with children's regulations in mind

Zeluu is designed around children's-privacy principles, including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the UK's Age-Appropriate Design Code ("Children's Code") — parental control, privacy-by-default, and data minimization. Our verifiable parental-consent process is being finalized with legal review. In review

7. Questions?

If you have a safety or privacy question, please reach out via the contact details in our Privacy Policy. We take every concern seriously.
